Product Description
You may not need a computer or tablet all the time. Sometimes, you might only need something simple that you can check emails, listen to music, browse photos and check up a few web pages. Sometimes, you might just want to read a few pages of books while waiting in a doc office. Sometimes, you might just want to play a few not too complicated games.
Now, you can do all that on Elsse 4.3 inch tablet equipped with Android 2.2 OS. It might not be as powerful as full size tablets or iPad, etc, however, it WILL provide you with endless fun and fulfill all your needs when you don't really need a big full size computer or tablets.
With the price of a MP3 player, you will get much much more. This is the perfect gifts for friends, families and all those you care about. Or maybe a special treat to the hard working self.
We would not recommend this item to you if you are looking for something to replace iPod touch, iPad or another other full size computer/tablets. But, we are very confident that for the price and feature, this is unbeatable. For those of you who just want to have some fun but don't want to pay the premium price for iPad, full size computers or tablets, this is the perfect alternative.
How to use apk app installer - There are many places on the internet where you can download apps to your computer directly in the form of apk file. Curb your enthusiam for best results!
By Delphine
I really like this little gadget.I give it less than the five full stars because: It does not support Kindle for Android according to Kindle tech support; it is troublesome to use with Audible for Android; it restarts for no apparent reason; the battery life is not good (however, since the instructions say to fully charge and fully discharge you will find that it lasts a good hour after it orders you to recharge); it's really touchy about what you are doing with it while it is recharging; there appears to be no tech support; I personally had trouble with the micro SD card at one point. Dismounted it and had trouble getting it to accept it again. So there you have it, the ugly out front. Even given those complaints I still love it and would actually give it 4.5 stars were that possible.
What I love about it is: FUN, FUN, FUN; great size; great price; the most perfect MP3 player you could ask for; beautiful as a movie viewer; perfect photo viewer; works with most of Amazon's free apps (I went on a free app frenzy and it was sooooo much fun); it is easy to drop files onto the card or the internal storage and use "explorer" to find the best app to open them with if you,re not sure; it's really fast online, goes to email and pages quickly; lots of helpful apps pre-installed; feels good and sturdy; touch screen is responsive; cute little stylus included; eBooks are super clear and easy to read.
Hey, I was just trying to replace my mp3 player. It was only $69.99 and does a heck of a lot more than most mp3 players.

It's handy.

I got the Elsse tablet to replace an iPod. (I couldn't afford to buy a new one. ) I really like it. The apps are comparable to the iPods - you can just about find anything you want. Sure the power is used up fast. But if you turn down the brightness and do the other power saving options as for the iPod, it lasts a lot longer. The best part for me other than the price is that you could set some virus protection apps. The bottom of the tablet has a texture that stays a bit steadir and firmer in the hand - it's not smooth like slick metal or plastic. (a nice addition)

Well worth the Price

Nice small android tablet for email, light web browsing and other tasks. The resistive screen is very good and works very well if you apply fingernail pressure and keep it there till you finish your selection or slide.
I saw the Skype(beta) icon in the picture on the Amazon website so I assumed it would run Skype 100%.You can only run the CHAT feature of Skype. Skype(beta) does load and all the contacts seem to be there but it won't allow any voice calls. For calling Skype users it doesn't give a dial option. For Skypeout you get the dialout option but an error comes back telling you that Skype is not enabled for calls in this region. The other included apps work very well email etc. I can even run a voip/sip app but it shows a few bugs at times. Voice can work on it.
The Elsse is a nice unit and should be fine for most users. I've updated my original 3 stars to 4 stars and think that is a fair and honest review. The mini tablet really is a lot of fun and value for the money.
Echolink works on it too and the internal microphone while a bit tinny gets the job done. It's fast too +5mbs both upload and download measured with a speed app. I get about 3 hrs till I throw it on the charger again. In the car I use it for listening to my podcasts and mp3's on the external 8mb mini SD card. I have a cheapo USB car charger with mini plug which I leave in while driving to keep it charged up.
If you find a working Skype version let me know and I'll also give it a 5 Star.
